Hello, I can not wait till July 26th (Thursday) win or lose with Horizon's Rayos/ Lodotra, I will be putting all my money into Ironwood. Linaclotide is a great chemical, and should definitly steal a lot of the IBS-c market from Amitiza. Amitiza is great and helps tons of people, but still a large percentage of IBS-c suffers do not get an adequate response.
If priced to sell, this drug could be placed higher then Amitiza on tiered insurance plans, and would make a killing. Also to note Amitiza has shown to be tetrogenic in animal studies, something woman should think about before starting therapy (but commonly overlooked by physicians)
My pharmacy intern did an analysis of both linaclotide and plecanatide. My intern found that even with the increase in side effects of linaclotide, it is a better medication due to its increased efficacy. (Both drugs will be approved) with my interns permission I will post his review later.
