A weird thing happened today. Wells Fargo sent me a link to a PDF document. This document was the share sale prospectus saying that SPIL and Thailin were going to sell 2.5MM shares and that Cowen and Craig Hallum are the underwriters and all that....
The thing is - it appeared that I had an option to bid for some shares at $10.10 according to this document, provided, I could travel back in time :-)
Why would a document dated October 26, 2012 be sent to me on December 7, 2012??
I have asked Wells Fargo. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.
Reply from Wells Fargo:
We understand you concern regarding prospectus mailings. The prospectus
is actually mailed from the transfer agent of the company. As such,
Wells Fargo has no control over the timing of the mailing. By law, the
transfer agent needs to mail current prospectuses to shareowner' s' any
time there is a significant change to the company, but at least
annually. The timing of the receipt of the prospectus has nothing to do
with the sale of shares.
