Just a question for the energy geeks here. I want to buy energy and i think of oil thru KAZ, ng thru GMXR and clean coal thru SCLX.
What would you split your money among these 3 energy stocks ?
i think you are right.i jumped in it finally but i did not dipped much.i was hesitant.nevertheless i do have some profits since then. i do not know what to do now. shall i hold or shall i sell before the earnings release ? Will they be lower than the estimates ?
i think it's just technical analysis showing it's oversold and i wouldn't be surprised that the same big boys that sold it down to $7 are the ones buying back up to $20. earnings may not be bad either and if projections are good then we don't need anything else for it to return to the $25 range.
HAve you looked at ARD as one of your oil plays? I always look at it as the GMXR of oil. They also don't have much debt. I don't follow KAZ so can't give you any kind of comparison with ARD.
You have not indicated your time frame for holding and why you want energy. These are important questions to ask first.
I chose GMXR, GMXRP, ATPG, APA. PEO has a great diversified portfolio, low fees and sells at a discount to NAV, manages it share count extremely well. DMLP is a great royality trust, and EPD is well positoned in the mid-stream services. If you think horiz drilling will be important, review last fall's conference calls from ASTE on its new process. Its a bit early to look for drillers, probably not til summer.
I don't own coal or KAZ.
