1) Bought NRGY in 2010. Small stake, but it paid me $120 per quarter.
2) SPH spun off in fall 2012. Combined pair paid me $82 per quarter.
3) NRGM spun off in mid 2013. Combined the three paid $73 per quarter.
4) NRGY- CEQP and NRGM- CMPL in fall of 2013. Still all three pay $73 per quarter.
In the beginning there was heaven and ..... wait a minute wrong story. In the beginning there was Energy which merged with Crestwood AFTER selling off it's propane segment to Suburban Propane. CEQP Is the new name for Energy which concentrates on transporting oil and natural gas by rail, pipeline and truck. They have a fleet of over 500 trucks and one of the first purchases they made was a railroad system to transport oil out of the N. Dakota oil fields. The handle about 20% of ALL the petroleum products out of that area. If you owned ENERGY at the start you would now have shares of SPH ,CMLP and CEQP. I would suggest that you hold them. CMLP pays a divie of over 7% SPH pays 7.5% and CEQP pays almost 4%. This investment will grow as they continue to expand their businesses. They are also a major player in the Delaware Penn area.
