just received a bunch of alerts about MGIC brass selling shares. I am not nearly as smart as others on this board. what does the F on the paperwork symbolize next to the shares disposed of? Also is there any other insights to gain from these filings? Clearly selling before earnings is not a good thing but were these trades mandatory? Thank you!
Took a quick look. Several form 4's issued. They look to be small lots to pay the taxes on options exercised or restricted stock maturing. Note the size of shares 3-6K note the remaining shares 500-800K. They are selling small portion for taxes.
Not a worry.
Even if someone was cashing out because they were being thrown out. You can never tell as much by a sell as you can by a buy. People sell for all kinds of reasons not related to the stock or the company.
In this case, excuse the expression, but "SIZE DOES MATTER"..
