BAD DAY FOR: Shared assumptions, as a Los Angeles woman sued Kraft Foods for selling a guacamole dip containing less than 2 percent avocado. "We think customers understand that it isn't made from avocado," said Kraft's Claire Regan. "All of the ingredients are listed on the label." (Los Angeles Times)
-Most of the press revelations about this say "Kraft and other manufacturers" are making fake guacamole dip. Why is Kraft being sued? Because they have deeper pockets than Herr's (which has NO Guacamole in it's dip), Marie's and other companies perpetrating the same "crime".
-Two different articles on this also take the opportunity to mention "Kraft which is also, by the way, the owner of Philip Morris, the cigarette company" showing the dangerous misrepresentation that Kraft owns PM, and is somehow responsible for the big, bad tobacco industry as well as the big, bad food company.
