    Sarah Palin is insane

The author of the blistering Vanity Fair profile on Sarah Palin says he wanted to write a positive piece, but was shocked by what he learned as he researched his story.

"The worst stuff isn't even in there," Michael Joseph Gross said on "Morning Joe" Thursday. "I couldn't believe these stories either when I first heard them, and I started this story with a prejudice in her favor. I have a lot in common with this woman. I'm a small-town person, I'm a Christian, I think that a lot of her criticisms of the media actually have something to them. And I think she got a bum ride, but everybody close to her tells the same story."

In the profile, Gross paints Palin as an abusive, retaliatory figure with an extreme ability to lie.

"This is a person for whom there is no topic too small to lie about," he said. "She lies about everything."

Asked about Palin's political future, Gross said it depends on what the media lets her get away with.

"If we decide to let her keep lying and getting away with it, she's gonna still be around," he said. "But if we start returning to the standard that a politician has to talk with people, and a politician has to tell the truth, then she's outta here, because she can't stand up to that."

    • politics is all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    • << look up the C street esidence in DC, where republican politicians are getting luxury accomadation for cheaper than you pay for your trailer

THEN come back and talk about the democrats >>

nobrain, as usual, you fail to get your facts correct.

First, five congressmen live at the C street residence. Two are democrats - Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) and Mike Doyle (D-Pa). The other three are Republican - Reps. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn), John Ensign (R-Nev)and Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla.

Or maybe you want to argue that the situation is wrong for Republicans while pretending democrats aren't benefiting as well?

Second, other politicians breaking laws or committing ethics violations doesn't get Rangel off the hook.

Third, the uproar at Rangel is about his renting FOUR subsidized apartments in New York, not one apartment in Washington DC.

Fourth and most importantly, the apartments are the least of the allegations against Rangel.

As I said, I like Rangel but he needs to go as do all the other scoundrels in DC, be they democrat or be they republican.

    • Too bad the media did not report the truth about Obama before the election and repressed the stories about Rev Wright, his liberal views, Acorn connection. If so maybe we would not be suffering from this CHANGE.

Yes, the media never said anything about Reverend Wright, and hid Obama's liberal views. I was under the impression that Obama was a white Baptist minister living as a secret Christian trying to convert Kenyans to Jesus.

    • << Rangle was put in the hot spot by Wm Gates...a right wing fanatic
and if Rangle goes down, alot of republican congress man, who also accept rental sweetheart deals should go down also...you moron >>

nobrain, we already heard Rangle's defense about how everyone else does it so that makes his transgressions okay. As much as I really like that guy, he needs to be cleaned out of Congress along with so many others including Waters and Dodd and Kerry and Pelosi and Boxer. Then there is Mc Cain who isn't but should go down joining all the Republicans preceding him in demise.

    • So says Stalker Rodent

I hope my master is pleased by my use of his word. Master can be a hard man to please. Master, please don't beat me. Please, master, please. Don't play B17, that was our song that was his song, now it's over...

No, I was not working yesterday. When I am here posting, it means that I am NOT working.

Of course we realize that you and Jimmy make 50 posts a day while "working".

Honestly folks, you simply can't make up stuff that absurd.

      ################

re you maintaining your claim that Sundance does not work for Microsoft?

Also, are you maintaining your pious assertion that you would never post anypone's real name o the board?

As for me, if my main "job" is trading stocks, would it be possible to do that, especially since on average I make way less than one trade per day, and still post on the board?

And I am still waiting for you to list the years that those imaginary MIT PhDs got their PhDs. Your excusethat it would invade their privacy is absurd--I'm jyust asking for the years, not the names.

      LOL.

      ___________________________

Today's conservatives are all accomplished liars.

However...lying effectively to other people mandates some facility in being able to lie first to oneself. This, I believe, is a key component into understanding the psychology of the conservative mind. None of them question their own certitude; in fact, their faith in their own ideology requires maintaining a closed network.

Most sociopaths are made, not born. Like any ability, the moral capacity for honesty atrophies without use. I have no doubt that Palin actually believes in at least part of her own crap. But actions speak louder than words, and Palin actually did abdicate her job as governor for purely self-interested reasons. So much for the moral attachments of duty.

    • Palin isn't insane. That would be an easy out for her. A self-centered egomaniac with delusions of grandeur would be closer to the truth. She is surrounded by some fairly bright political minds who are helping her deliver a message that alot of angry people want to hear.
      ...So Sad.
