We were thru this before. You cjhose "rifles" rather than guns. Buglars, muggers, and people who rob liquor stores use guns rather than rifles, because liberals would report to the police a person carrying a rifle.

In classic rodent fashion, after your claim was discredited you just post it again a few weeks later.

Maybe if these people were kept in jail the crime rate would drop even more.

Known) suspects with criminal records: 79.1 percent
Suspects with drug arrests: 61.6 percent
Suspects on parole and probation at time of killing: 23.3 percent
Suspects arrested for prior gun crimes: 45.3 percent

Victims with criminal records: 82.3 percent
Victims with drug arrests: 68.4 percent
Victims on parole and probation at time of death: 24.2 percent
Victims arrested for prior gun crimes: 37.7 percent

      • Well, then, the "new" legislation about "rifles" and "assault rifles", not to mention the little-understood "assault-style rifles" should be set aside until "guns" (but excluding rifles, etc.) are clearly legislated against, and their use reduced in FBI reports (to make sure that legislation does any good whatever).

After that, special legislation against "hands, feet and fists" (somehow fists are not a subset of hands) needs to be enacted, IMMEDIATELY and without public discussion. It's clearly an emergency...think of the humanity! It will be especially important that the punishments include "defeeting" such criminals, permissible under Islamic law which Sotomayor will use to get it by the USSC.

When that's done, we could get back to "rifles" and "assault rifles", not to mention the little-understood "assault-style rifles", now seen to be less than 1/5 as homicidally significant as "hands, feet and fists".

After that we can move on to new legislation banning second and third hand smoke (clearly another mass murder weapon), pictures of cigars and cigarettes, then pictures of smoke and the words smoking and smoke, all of which may induce susceptible people to cough and get agita. There may be a problem with the First Amendment, but that's been pretty much overcome by prior smoking legislation (no right is "absolute" after all) and besides, Obama has a handy pad ruled for executive orders that he can whip out quick as a snake and just fill in the blanks.

What was that Republic's name that used to be from south of Canada to north of Mexico and between the Atlantic and Pacific anyway?
