Mo has built such a great empire! They hide behind the fascade of Kraft, Miller beer, but they just keep slugging down those cig profits. And you know what? Americans are fed up and the walls are crumbling down. Here are my thoughts:
1. They think they have every base covered with the congressional settlement. They settle, they still come out looking great, shareholders see 90 by 2000. One fly in the ointment! All those lawyers that they are paying, can't keep down the thousands out there that want a piece of MO and want it bad! \ 2. Congress has heard mo snicker about how much money will be left after the settlement. Even bliley is pissed. The next number is gonna hurt. i read $600
3. They keep fiughting. They are fighting big time againt texas and pissing more people off. Give in, take your lumps and settle!
4. Tobacco will spinoff. Shareholders are not going to stand for this uncertainty.
5. Go to a restraunt. Do you like smoking? Do you want your mom or dad, or spouse or KIDS to smoke? Well, why would you invest then? Cause you hope billiosn of people overseas will smoke right? And they all have big money to pay for their habit, right? MO cigs are expensive remember.
Whether anyone want's their kids to smoke and whether MO stock will rise or fall are 2 diff. questions. Are you short this stock? If so, how much exposure do you have in this position? If you're not, why not put your posts on a Health Bulletin Board.
You read like some of the freeloading, left wing liberals that want to get a free ride at everyone else's expense. You must be an ex smoker and now you are looking to blame MO etc. for your decision to smoke. If you do not like the stock then get out of the board.
