According to Yahoo's profile for this ETF, the yield as of Jun 30 is 11%. According to WisdomTree's website, the yield is over 10% as of Aug 7.
WisdomTree states that this ETF is a "fund of funds" consisting of WisdomTree Equity Income Fund (DHS), WisdomTree DEFA Equity Income Fund (DTH) and WisdomTree Emerging Markets Equity Income Fund (DEM). The yields for each of those funds are, respectively, 3%, 9.5% and 5.5%.
How can the yield for this fund be higher than the underlying funds?
Nice work on the research, great question/conclusion. I was in for the yield and stop/loss out with the flash crash last week.
will discontinue plans to move back in, to this or any other wisdom tree assest, til the answer to that question is clear.
Can you recommend a similar asset that has good yield? VIPSX has been the most stable, tho lackluster, holding in my portfolio thru the turmoil of last 3 yrs, MAKOX & LUV my favorite bets at this time.
I'm getting older and looking to shift allocation towards global income/bond type assets over the next 5-20 years, curious to know what you might think about these holdings and what has been good for you.
mostly just wanted to thx for sharing your research, very helpful.
