The broad market has risen to new highs over the past week. Chinese GDP figures are being published shortly. If they are not good we can see declines across the board, which in turn will put pressure on FSLR as well.
by Friday 48. I think we have the remaining shorts trying to cover. 13.5 million shares is alot of shares to buy. Those who bought in the 20's and even 30's either have sold or sold most, so the only ones left holding are those bought on the way up and in 50's. Thus, they are unlikely to sell for loss. With all the things developing around fslr; you would have to be insane to not cover now. The short's risk is that if they don't cover now, they may suffter having to cover in the 60-80 range in a month. It's a huge gamble; I doubt that they are willing to wait for the Obama contracts or the Janpanese/Saudi's contracts.
