to set the table tomorrow....and propel us higher the next day. not essential, but would help. hopefully they will be FSLR's biggest customer for Tetrasun panels...makes total sense. they will not buy from SPWR. SPWR's 23% efficiency panels are too expensive and they are a competitor of SCTY. Chinese panels may get hit with even more tariffs.
So buying Tetrasun 21% efficiency panels at lower cost & made in the USA with no tariffs...win win. 1) FSLR produces, and 2) SCTY installs. to reiterate, they did have a 5-year PARTNERSHIP which ended last year...just saying.
as reported in recent articles, any positive Tetrasun guidance in 2014 will be a HUGE boost if mentioned on the CC Tuesday. FSLR must enter the residential/commercial market. tick tock.....
FSLR doesnt need SCTY for anything. According to FSLR management Tetrasun panels are expected to be fully absorbed by the Japanese market through 2016. Although not clear yet, the panels will likely be produced in Malaysia.
I'm referring to a short term pop. disappointing earnings from another solar bell weather would not help us the day before our earnings. even though fslr is focused more on international, positive earnings from SCTY would help our cause.
regarding tetrasun, I know about the japan market and others such as chile. these comments were made last April after the acquisition. but nowhere did I read japan will fully absorb the production. maybe I missed it. regardless, they will be in high demand and need exposure on the CC.
