This contract is two tier and the senior employees will not have too pay for the medical for the first two years but then they will in the third year. New california law will be in and then you will see that all employees will have medical coverage that hires more than 100 employees. TYhis will go into effect in year 2006.
the kroger co. will probably get what they want in louisville and houston also. reports said the union made steep concessions in socal. i think it shouldn't be long before kroger stock blows past its 52 week high of $19.70. //i picked up some kr calls earlier this week.// i thought the calls didn't have that much of a premium to them and they were kinda cheap.
The two tiers contract is in effect in the mid-west and now they have a third tier which you see will bring changes in the other areas of there contract as they come out of the California contract, the medical will be the big issue in the future.
