    A Joke!

The leadership in this company is a joke!

When are they going to realize that it takes time to develop a positive sales trend. You have to spend money (via features) to change the trend.

If you read thru the last press release on company earnings, it was mentioned that the push to drive sales in the 4th Qtr was too costly, and therefore they were going to balance their approach for 2005 (or some crap like that!)

Hey had a 5% sales increase for the quarter, when was the last time this company reported this kind of result?

Yes it was costly for the first most business people know, your innitial capital outlay in any venture is costly. But don't stop know...after only 1 qtr!

You are getting customers into store with these 10/$10 (as an example). Innitially they are only going to buy these sale items (QTR 1). Eventually, if you continue to get them into the store...they will start doing more of their shopping (higher priced/M.U. items) and that's how you BALANCE YOUR APPROACH! Don't quit after only 1 QTR. It takes a little bit longer to see results.

Most shareholders, employees, managers would rather see you report poor earnings as a result of driving sales (...SALES CURE ALL EVILS), than to report poor results due to a $675M one time charge.
