it's Feb. 16th. , my "rest week" from chemo. (3 weeks on, one week off, three weeks on and then a ct scan). so im half way to my second scan. Our basketball team won the regular season but lost in the conf. tournament in overtime. Everyone played hard. Now we have to put that behind us and get ready for a tough schedule for the state tournament. Starting with practice today. Well find out tomorrow who we play Tuesday.

As for the two upcoming triathlons. We are training for the first one (in March) all we can. Man this coaching stuff really cuts into activities. I know we will be ready for the April event. Thats the one we are doing in conjunction with raising money for the Melanoma Non profit Organization. A big thanks to everyone who has donated to the effort of raising $4000 dollars. We're over half way there. If you still want to donate go to the links section of this web site and click on the third link. A few people have had trouble logging on to it. Their computer security is very "strong". I think most found that if the typed the link in their browser they were able to get in. Sorry for the inconvenience but please try.

1 in 50 of us will get melanoma during our lives.

    • Hey, As a melanoma survivor, you should tell your friend Jeff to take it easy. His body needs all the energy to fight the disease. He should focus on proper diet, hydration and overall self care. Running a marathon may help him mentally, but physically it may work against him.
Also have him take a look at the best melanoma center in the world (from my experience). Its the John Wayne Cancer Institiute in Santa Monica Ca. They literally SAVED MY LIFE after all other docs gave up. The surgeons are second to none at JWCI.
Best luck to your friend and tell him to always have a "plan B" and keep that fighting attitude.
As a shareholder and survivor, I hope the Syna trial proves affective.
      God Bless,
