Anyone notice this today. I had seen a few sell trades go through of 5,000 shares and higher, this selling brought the price down quickly. Then I noticed a few buys which were not big 1,200 and 1,500 or so and the stock went up quickly. Looked like the Market Makers were trying to take in as much stock as they could get, and as cheap as they could get it. Yet they would not sell the stock back cheap, as soon as buyers came in the bid and ask moved up very quickly. Just an observation. Just found it funny how a small amount of buying and the stock went up very quickly. Just my opinion only.
When the price is on the uptrend (current: from yesterday's low of $4.04) and you place a bid at the current ASK, the price always jumps up a penny in the form of one-or-more 100/200-share ASK orders. You can get your shares, but at a premium of 1 or two pennies/share. And, if you are not quick enough, you end up chasing the price upward which I guess is like catching a falling knife, but in the opposite direction.
Alternatively, I've seen instances where if I bid (and the ASK price comes in at the bid) I'll see ASKs at my price but for less than the quantity I wanted! Price-chasing in the upward direction is a possibility here as well.
Algorithmic trading on this stock is astounding to watch, really.
