Terp-Those who have folowed this company have heard the arguments anytime they held a meeting overseas. Some alleged it was on the company expense to get to see relatives, and other argued it was to meet European Big Pharma. So when is Octoberfest? Those arguments will continue. Meanwhile, this "cash-strapped" company just paid off a nice chunk of convertible debt. We hope the genesis of that move will become crystal clear pretty soon. And the saga continues. But watch the tape.
Oktoberfest is from Sept. 19th through Oct. 4th. I believe that the recent move to pay off convertibles was a strategic one. Eliminate outstanding debt, so that more money can be raised for phiii. In the meanwhile, if they get contracts from other pharmas for the fill and finish, it can keep them afloat by taking care of the lease and overhead, etc...Full steam ahead with phIII trials. IMO, of course.
The best scenario, that can arise here, as far as any announcements are concerned, in my opinion is that they will start ph 3 as soon as the facility is validated. Now that of course goes only if they can raise additional funds in order to at least cover a portion of the costs, associated with the ph 3. What blockbuster is there to be announced? In my opinion none, yet. The blockbuster will be the final approval of MK by the FDA.
