    BULL VS BEAR....

Board members...It look like to me that all the markets are wanting to go higher but they are being held back by the problems in Europe...

A lot of Europe is drowning in bad debt and I think that Germany is tired of pumping money into other countries that never pay it back (I don't think that Europe every paid its debts back to the U.S. from the Second World War)...

I am not sure how any of this will unfold, but yesterday I bought more PETDX and today I added more SFL to my current holdings...if the Europe thing does not work out, we may not like it...

I still have RNO, UAN and UVE on my watch list as I am looking for what I feel are good entry points...Good luck to all...!

    • Board members...Because Europe has been a show stopper for the U.S. and World Markets (and now doing the reverse), I am posting a message from an lady investor that lives in France (RSO message board)...I think some investors here may find it interesting...

That said, we are still on a roll (SDRL & SFL) and it sure is sweet...!

    • stagg, the market incredibly seems to want to rally. The "solution" to the Greek debt problem may supply the market with gas for a rally, but in time, Europe will be back to consider yet another plan for dealing with Italy, Spain and eventually the French and German banks. Meanwhile the Fed is talking about another round of QE. Despite my aversion to chase a market, I may add to some energy plays. PER is a relatively new trust sponsored by Sandridge and will be declaring their first distribution in 2 weeks.

Noticed today that Friedrickson's other company, Golar (GLNG) got a boost from an annoucement that LNG announced a deal with BG to export lng in a few years. I made a 50% profit on GLNG after the Japanese earthquake. It may be time to re-visit GLNG on a pullback.

      • mark...Thanks for the "new tips", a lot of investors and myself on this message board love tips...

I think we will see a nice rally today because of some of the settlements in the Europe financial problems...I also agree that many of Europe's problems may come back again later on...

That said, a 50% profit on GLNG is outstanding (good for you), I will check out GLNG and PER...! Thanks, and good luck to you...!

    • Staggman,
got any hunches on a buy price to add to SFL? I hold quite a few shares (for me) but one has to believe there is a nice dip coming before too long. Think it will go back to $12 anytime soon?

      • K-bon...I added more shares of SFL to my holdings today, if I thought the price was going to pull I back would have waited...

I do not have a crystal ball and that is why I always try to dollar cost average...I have stated in the past, that I feel that SDRL is the better and safer play...but I also feel the risk vs reward is greater with SFL...

To answer your question, First, the BDI rates have been increasing...Second, SFL has long term leases...Third, their leasing of off shore drilling rigs is a strong income driver and has great color...Fourth, SFL now has ten customers and they are leasing to fourteen different companies...because of all of this, SFL should continue to increase in share price..of course, if Europe don't work out, all bets are off of the table...

That said, one of my top preforming holdings is AGNC (yield 19.6%) and today they announced a new offering which will pull the share price back down for a while...had I knew in advance, I would have sold out and then bought back into it again...such is investing, if it was easy we would not need message boards to come up with new ideas...! Good luck and keep in touch...!

    • Board members...Another great day in the markets...green is great and we cannot deny that, even IVR (yield 20.9%) has been on the rebound...

It is what it is (all of my holdings are in the money today)...I may take some profit on AGNC (yield 19.6%) and spread it out a bit...!
