Speaking of APPLE, can anyone explain the stampede to buy their bonds at slightly above par and paying less than 1/2 of one percent interest? Seems like a formula for losing money or at best collecting paltry interest if everything stays the same. Also, I'm getting uneasy about this market. To me, a 2% heavily subsidized ( by Bernanke) growth rate just doesn't justify this euphoria. Not selling anything but hoarding my cash for a better entry point down the road. No sense chasing. Lately I'm leaning toward high dividend ETFs to add to my forty or so equities. Finished accumulating a position in SDIV and looking to start one in DIV. I don't mind paying someone else a half a percent to find and screen the stocks. So far so good.
Oh Sarge, when will you ever learn. I've been telling you this since $600. Look at the chart my friend and see the downtrend line that intersects right at $433. Apple has bounced repeatedly to this downtrend line. As for new products, they have nothing. The new dividend announcement and buyback helped put a (temporary) floor under the stock, but were not enough to change the story. Remember, the old leaders are never the new leaders of the next wave.
