    • Or CRR

When took a dive.... CRR Carbo Ceramics: Hearing weakness was due to a Dahlman Rose noted released earlier; Cautious over PXD 8-K that stated it was using white sand instead of ceramic proponent to fracture stimulate wells and was seeing improved performance

Comments from PXD filing: "Pioneer has been testing the use of lower-cost white sand instead of ceramic proppant to fracture stimulate wells drilled in shallower areas of the field. Twenty-five wells have been tested to date, with a savings of approximately $700 thousand per well. Early well performance has been similar to direct offset ceramic-stimulated wells. Pioneer plans to continue to monitor the performance of these wells and plans to use white sand in 50% of its 2012 drilling program."

This is interesting too on SLCA too ...CSX said on their earnings CC that Fracking sand is a huge huge business for them and is replacing coal.

This is from Briefing (very interesting)....

"SLCA produces a wide range of frac sand sizes and it's one of the few commercial silica producers capable of rail delivery of large quantities of frac sand to each of the major US shale basins. As a result, the company has become a preferred supplier and it's experiencing high demand for its frac sand. To meet this demand, over the past couple of years, SLCA has increased production capacity"

      Sentiment: Strong Buy
