I think this stock has been beat down because of government spending concerns, and rightfully so. However, FLIR has been transitioning most of their product lines into cheaper alternatives in an attempt to diversify into consumer markets. If they follow the Honeywell growth model, this could be a long term winner. Might be a perfect IRA candidate, slow but steady growth with a likely increasing dividend.
I not only agree but feel there will be more than slow, yet steady. Every time some one in finance announces doom and gloom it is all the markets that suffer. But if you look in between the fine lines on certain stocks, Flir seems to be one that has had growths while all other markets are hard hit during the economic folly of the last 4 years.
