Chunky 18.8 oz Beef with Country Vegetables has 5 tiny bits of Beef. WHERES THE BEEF. Truth in adv
Buy one. See for yourself. The Front Label says Beef with Country Vegetables. That implies what you are buying is beef and vegetables, with the largest ingredient listed first. On the front, the word BEEF is 3/4 of an inch high, in BOLD LETTERS. Thr actual ingredients on the back, are .062 high, and you almost need a magnifying glass to read them. Well golly. open it up, and its mostly potatoes and carrots and beef stock ( mostly water). On the label, it also says that the beef is 10% water. The label on the can should say what is inside. So that us consumers know what we are buying. It should say CHUNKY BEEF STOCK, WITH COUNTRY VEGETABLES AND 5 IDDY BIDDY BITS OF BEEF. I do not know how the FDA lets them get away with this.
