    Regarding time to buy CPB

With regard to when you should buy CPB...I think the question should really be :

Do you want to own CPB ?

Timing plays a role, but it is a small role for a solid stock like this. This is a long term is not volatile and tends to have the stability of a KO or a JNJ. Buy it now. Keep it long term. Everthing will look good. I bought at 55 3/4 a month ago when lots of folks were floundering with what to do. I have realized a 4.93% gain to date in a month. I am holding long term and bought because this company is solid, not because "the time was right". Just my thoughts.

    • I agree with message #80 I bought cpb at 55.18 on the rec of my broker, glad I did, didn't worry about when to get in, before spinoff or after, such foolishness, if you don't want/like vl then sell it, take the cash and go out and have a nice dinner & a bottle of champagne, cause cpb will continue to go up. me, I hold quality companies like cpb for the long term, mmmmm mmmmm good!
