    "post decline in cpb?"

My scenario is I have a 401k with fidelity through Campbells and we will not be allowed to make any transactions
between3-25-98 and 4-7-98.If I have (hypothetical) 500 shares of CPB and am issued 50 free shares of VL at approx.$22.00 a share that would
be $1,000 free. But what I am concerned about is the 2-week period when I will not be allowed to trade any shares and the price
of CPB drops ex.$15.00,I could lose $7,500.My question is,does anybody have any type of information as to what typically
happens in the 2-4 week period after a spin-off.I realize that spin-offs don't happen every day,and there is nothing that is
typical, but some views on this would be greatly appreciated, with some hard data.I feel that in my position I would be best off trading
my shares into another vehicle until the dust settles, since I will still realize my VL shares ,as I was a shareholder as of
    3-9-98.Thanks again for any input
