I would think Buffett would be looking to add more shares of BYD company. Perhaps double the current stake. China is planning to add 10,000,000 electric car charging stations by the year 2020. BYD is best positioned to benefit from China intelligent and aggressive plans change over from fossil fuels to the use of solar, wind and nuclear power to provide power for electric transportation. And guess who's in the solar business and renewable energy storage business? My guess is that sometime before BYD launches it's E6 pure electric car in the US, Buffett will add another healthy serving of BYD Company to his dinner plate.

Berkshire stock from the Gates' foundation, if our shares continue to trade under 80 for the remainder of the year.
I hope that it is Research in Motion. RIMM falls into its criteria for acquisition: 3o Billion in cap size, selling at a 50% discount, and a great growth company. Once RIMM partners up with a USA company, it will take off in share price. Remember what happened when Nov 10, 2000 JDS FIDEL from Canada merged with Uniphase comporation of California-JDS UNIPHASE was born and skyrocketed in price. Here's hoping history repeats itself.
RIMM is done. They will be out of business when the "Crackberry" is no longer relevant.
Unless they create a completely "new" device, smarter, they are toast.

look for something relatively non-cyclical, that everybody needs regardless of tech advances.
along the lines of food, shelter, and energy, but not necessarily those exact items. and it may not be manufacturers or retailers. could be pipeline types like electric transmission companies, gas pipelines, lowes/home depot, food wholesalers or distributors.
Buffett's on record recently saying Berkshire has acquired 10% of Munich Re (murgy/murgf) this year and has plans to raise the holdings over the next year. Berkshire's focusing in reinsurance during a time when reinsurance is cheap.
