INTC==Dividend Yield- 4% verses 5 year bonds yielding less than 2%.
I bought INTC today for 22.85 per share because over time they should increase the dividend at a modest rate of about 5-8%. The current yield is 2-3 times that of 5 year corporate bonds and for added income I sold the April, 24 call options for $1 per share for added income.
Option premium works out to about 4% every 7 months plus another 5% in profits if called plus the dividend.
Sold more put options today with INTC down a fraction trading near 22.52 per share in IRA #3.
I was paid .69 per share for the January 21 puts thus yielding me over 3% in four months. If the stock is put to me I'll earn a dividend in early February which is also important when dealing with these small returns. This account is also short the July 18 puts so if the stock should fall my buys will be laddered.
I now own it in 4 IRAs and Grandma's account. All were funded by the recent sell of BRK at the option adjusted price of 89. I've sold call options against it in all of these accounts and I'll be treating INTC as a fixed income investment.
