    • While I would have personally preferred that the warrants be kept and exercised (cost of 5 billion, and get close to 10% ownership of an iconic firm like GS), there can be no denying that this was an amazing deal for Berkshire. Not only getting the 10% interest on the loan, then selling the preferreds at a premium, and then getting this ~2 billion in stock without any more cash. So, BRK put up 5 billion... and got 500 million per year interest/dividends, repayment at 5.5 billion, plus ~2 billion in stock. Give up 5 billion, and get about 9 billion in value back...:)

      There are times it is good to be a Berkshire shareholder...:)
