Can't help but feel that Honeywell is taking a hit for their best and biggest customer, Boeing. Why no photos of the damaged aircraft's interior and the ELT installation and surrounding area. Is someone keeping a big lid on this event? Could an ELT battery overheating been a secondary failure, the result of high heat from another event? Are there other battery powered items on the aircraft such as emergency sea-water activated beacons on the life-rafts and rechargeable flashlights that could have started a fire? What about a short to one of the interconnecting wires to the ELT? Where is the picture of the ELT that was involved in the incident?
At least the stock does not appear to be taking a hit so far. Expect good earnings report and analyst reports to follow next week.
