Is 5 bucks a good entry point?

Looking for a nice entry point here...but from experience everytime I think a stock I want to buy has hit bottom, it goes down another 10% lol

    • You'll never see $5 for this stock.

    • There is little to no reason to think the CCME news will be favorable. It is certainly a sick stock and it is far more likely that there is a dispute with their big 4 auditor. If anything, the delay has hurt CVVT Friday and, if negative, could knock CVVT down. Could see that 5 bucks, which would think is a buy opp., if for no other reason than that CVVT press release mentioning their expectation to file their 10K, removes concerns about auditor disputes/delayed filing/delisting from the table. The company is getting smarter in the ways of the market all the time. Good to see they have a learning curve.

    • agree.

the market doesn't change until the shorts are un-nerved... value will help. auditors and eearnings will help. AUTC made it through the short FUD.

CCME halting the stock - If strategy was to pummel the shorts and show a repeat, but on steroids - of the VW-Porsche Short squeeze a few years ago - then the perception (and reality) will switch with something like the following...

announcement of stellar earnings and audit sign off comes this weekend. SEC filing Wed - on time. Either release the stock for trading on Monday or Wed - depending on the drama they want!

If I were the other Chinese stock management - like CVVT - I would have a press release ready to go that has good news and levers and amplifies the CCME message.

Should be an interesting week for CVVT. St Paddy's day as good luck for gold in the US and apparently something called triple metal (?? don't know details) days in the Chinese calendar on the 16th and 17th - also good karma days for $

      Luck to us all

    • this is as good as it gets. If you are a short basher - congrats. If you are truly looking for long value....

The stock is pummeled, though it has great sales. Needs to reign in some receivables. Fixed its cash position by selling stock at $10 / share in January (raised $10 million).

Great value - domestic producer of valves for china nuc industry + consumer infrastructure of Sewer and Water.

Plays into the state sponsored infrastructure build out. Whole company would be a home run at these prices, just on the potential of the Nuc Valves.

Plus - just got a noteworthy credit rating.

On sale for a few more days only...

      • I agree that the current price looks like an amazing LT value. That said, YE results come out in two weeks (March 24) and investors likely are nervous about the possibility of a restatement required by CVVT's new auditors. Who knows if there will be one and what it might look like? So I wouldn't be surprised if the stock drifts somewhat lower between now and March 24. You could look for a lower entry point. The safest approach would be to wait until results come out on the 24th and go from there. You might miss a nice bounce off the bottom. But if there were an ugly restatement you could miss a crash in the stock driven by crazed short sellers.

    • Technically speaking, and I'll try to keep this simple, 5 dollars a share would be exactly one dollar a share better than 6, but also one dollar a share worse than 4.

      I hope this helps.
