I can actually find things at Petco, Petsmart is more like the Home Depot of animal supplies, long aisles with EVERYTHING under the sun which leaves customers wandering around trying to find things. What a ridiculous set-up.
Yeah, so ridiculous they've beaten estimates for 8 consecutive quarters and grown their sales and profits well above the rest of retail. Meanwhile Petco is doing so poorly they are still privately owned by an equity firm that bought them over 5 years ago with the intent of making a "killing" by turning around a quick IPO back to investors. I'm betting a lot of retailers would like to have "ridiculous" set-ups like PetSmart.
