    From DigiTime:

My comment: The following report from DigiTime seems to validate "thin-film" metal mesh sensor technology. And UniBoss was not the first to the market. So, could Citron Report got it wrong on this one? It's not the first time it was wrong due to extremely limited info (For instance, Citron was completely wrong about a couple of the Chinese companies, which later were taken private.) Scarcity of details from the company doesn't offer a good logic for "fraud".

Young Fast ships metal mesh thin-film type touch screens to Lenovo

Siu Han, Taipei; Alex Wolfgram, DIGITIMES [Monday 14 January 2013]

Young Fast Optoelectronics has reportedly begun shipping metal mesh thin-film type touch screens to Lenovo for is 13.3-inch notebook products as of the beginning of January 2013, according to industry sources.

The sources said Lenovo is seeking the technology since ITO thin-film type touch screen materials are in tight demand largely due to high allocations to companies such as Samsung Electronics, and because large-size thin-film type ITO material pricing has been on the rise.

Metal mesh technology can act as a replacement for the conductive layer of ITO technology and can also lower resistance, resulting in approximately 20-30% less touch screen material costs, added the sources.

The sources also noted that one-glass-solution (OGS) technology has also been in short supply due to low yields.

Young Fast is expected to ship tens of thousands of units the metal mesh thin-film type technology to Lenovo throughout the first quarter of 2013 for use in products that may appear in markets as early as the first quarter, said the sources.
