Only a short deep underwater, and desperately seeking something to carp about in UNXL's stellar performance, would complain about a revenue shortfall of five thousand dollars in a company that will be earning a billion dollars two years hence. It this is the best you can find, lazy, yo'ure gonna have a long weekend.
Yes, the $5million was from a non-recurring engineering fee collected from the PC OEM signed in Dec,'12.
It is expected that at least that same amount will be collected from the PC OEM in Q2 and likely additional NRE from the ecosystem partner. I have seen projections NRE of $12million, $2million, and $7million, respectively, for Q2, Q3 and Q4 of 2013. In addition, Q3 and Q4 will see significant ramp up of UniBoss production and sales.
I cannot speak to past revenues, as they are not meaningful to me (sales of sample quantities and other products beyond UniBoss). UniBoss is their future, while Diamond Guard (I expect) is a minor plus on the topline, which could prove better if frequently paired with UniBoss.
Thanks, jbird, appreciate the outlook, as speculative as it is. No criticism, just that history is credible info and forecasting is an art based on market knowledge. Do you think UniBoss has the potential considering there are no pending deals in the forecast? Seems a lot is based on it's success without a hint of any new activity from the company.
How much activity do you want? In the last couple months they signed two huge deals - one to provide them guaranteed customers and one to provide them with guaranteed product. Product times customers = Revenues. (Huge production) time (huge customers) = HUGE revenues
And they expect profit margins 'north of 50%', meaning most of the top line flows to the bottom line.
Sorry for any unintended inaccuracy, the info available is sketchy at best. So, you're saying that there are at least prototypes and samples out in the market somewhere so why wasn't there any status update information from the company? Promises of new business is far from solid status info.
