It looks like there is small insder ownership, 1% of NUVA. I recognize that this is not a screaming negative signal, as ISRG has a similar profile of ownership but then again HNSN has 25% insider ownership. Any thoughts? This could just mean they will not be happy when it goes to 100. How rare are outright buying from insiders of companies of this ilk?
Think of it like this: If an insider is guaranteed options every quarter, then they are always "holding" shares - just not shares they can actually sell. Therefore they would always have a vested interest in the future of the company and stock price.
An individual investor who buys and holds thinks in terms of CAPITAL APPRECIATION, but maybe the insiders are better served to think of stock sales in terms of a steady stream of INCOME.
1)As the pps rises, so does insider income from stock sales. 2)Insiders can focus more on the business and less on personal finances and market timing. 3)NUVA delivers a good quarter. 4)Repeat.
