Imagine boarding a TGV like train in Memphis and being in Tunica in 15-20 minutes, not the average of one hour.
This trackage will parallel the existing Canadian National Railine to Lake View and then it would follow the old ICRR line down to Clarksdale and on to either Swan Lake and parallel the CN freight route into Jackson, MS.
No doubt they could put in high speed trackage to Vicksburg depending on long term endorsements from companies in the region.
But imagine, boarding a train that goes 200 MPH thru the Delta...
No doubt, that wide open stretch on that four lane highway from Tunica to Clarksdale is a great place to put the pedal to the metal, which hardly has any traffic on it. Course, get on ticket and it'd probably cost you a kings ransom (lost time from work to pay that fine, course if you were super rich it'd be like chump change).
