recent visit to Isle Cape Girardeau WHY doing so poorly??

boy, did someone on the management team mess up with the Cape Girardeau casino location. They should have built it in a more dense population that gambles. Where the revenue meets the better locations.
looks like revenue will top out at 5 to 6 million a month. Pathetic!
Place is beautiful, but should have been built in a more profitable location. Lack of a hotel or resort amenities is a problem too. Spoke briefly with the manager who is quite competent. But seems to convey the message that the entire company is having major problems. Manager said that the competition is the most fierce in years. And its properties are lacking quality and freshness. Lot of mold and mildew, Old operations. Asked me what I thought of Pinnacles casinos in St, Louis area. As a comparison. He said they are causing a lot of competition for the company. As well as Ameristar in Blackhawk. He also mentioned that Boyd gaming just took over some casino operations and opened up a new casino floor near Isle's Kansas City location and it is decimating that business.
They are not happy with the numbers out of Cape Girardeau. And he mentioned the Illinois side casinos were expected to drop in revenue due to the opening, and it hasn't happened.
Made 750 bucks at Cape and drove back to Maryland Heights. Lousy drive from Cape Girardeau.
