Your point could be argued even stronger than that; about 85% of references are plural. Only a few singular outside of the book of Job. This is a matter argued by some with great intensity as writings concerning the Trinity, in the old books. But the idea of a uniquely divine one is my opinion of the meaning of the writing, even if singular and plural words are used in a single passage. (eg. Genesis 35:1 and 35:7 use both), so to say in English "gods" would not be quite accurate.
