If you are long, sell this pathetic patent troll on a 2% pop today. It's only significant success has been extracting royalty dollars from semiconductor manufacturers after Tessera got lucky with an incredibly broad claim construction (claiming relative "movement" of a chip and substrate -- like a house moves on its slab) in suits against the manufacturers. No one ever used the actual invention of putting a separate compliant layer under a semiconductor chip. Those patents are now expired and Tessara is living on borrowed time. I have no position (long or short) in TSRA and never have. Don't know what a troll is? This troll is down 60% in the last 5 years. The business plan was doomed from the start, and company management just robbed shareholders by paying themselves with generous stock options every year. If you have held this troll over that span, then you are the moron. If you go long now, then you are a Neanderthal.
