If people are looking for tea leaves to read, I'll point one out. The DRAM Matter that started before ITC wound up with a circuit court affirming that even though a lot of DRAMs were sold on which royalties were owed to Tessera and not paid, there wasn't anyone to collect from (my summary). Tessera appealed to The Supreme Court. I don't know exactly when, and very much to the point I have no idea how long they might take before deciding whether to act on the appeal. So there's a place someone with the right specialized knowledge might turn public records (the appeal date) into a time-range during which we might get some news.
The DRAM case is dead at the Supreme Court. All you have to do is read the 10K.
On December 28, 2011, Tessera, Inc. filed a petition for certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme Court denied the petition for certiorari on May 29, 2012. The ‘630 ITC Action is now concluded.
It's in the 10-Q from August, but thanks anyway (10-Ks are Feb/Mar). And @#$%^ as to the result. Same comment as to management not releasing a statement concerning the result (They DID tell us that they would comment on legal matters when the results became public record).
