Are the current sellers of CSP aware that the monthly dividend has been increased from $.055 to $.098 effective with the distribution on 12-2-09? I think not or they would not be selling at such a ridiculous low price.
Well Beefstew, the DOW is down 12% & CSP is down a little over 1% since your reply to me. I think even with my incredibly low IQ I'm fairing pretty well so far. But thanks again for watching out for all our money.
Indeed the recent increases in dividend do include a return of capital. Please refer to the following (and its link) -
"ASP, BSP, CSP and SLA distributions were declared pursuant to a level distribution policy adopted by the Board of Directors. Under this policy, ASP, BSP, CSP and SLA currently anticipate paying fixed monthly distributions to shareholders in the amounts set forth in the table above. It is expected that distributions under the level distribution policy will consist primarily of net investment income and a return of capital to shareholders, although the exact tax characteristics of the funds’ distributions in any fiscal year will not be known until after the end of that fiscal year. A return of capital represents a return of a shareholder’s original investment in a fund’s shares, and should not be confused with a dividend yield. The level distribution policy is subject to suspension, revision or termination at any time without notice to shareholders."
