New guy: It's just that this same question shows every day here (on every message board) - Most important is that you'll get CORRECT info on company websites. On these MBs you'll either get sarcastic answers or possibly wrong info - 'specially on "EX-dividend" questions. Example: to get an up-coming dividend you must buy at least ONE day BEFORE ex- div day. Watch these MBs and you'll see that question all the time - it gets irritating.... On the other hand, finding info on company websites is sometimes hard (they can be hard to know where to look - start by looking for "investor relations"). Previous poster was exactly right - quicker to find answer yourself than to ask here...... Learned all this the hard way myself. On the other hand, don't hesitate to ask - just be ready/willing to put up with sarcasm - lots of it here..........Frank
Sometimes new invetors need a push to get them going. It isn't a big thing to share our knowledge, unless you think you have never had a question when you were new to anything.
The check is in the mail, it arrives April 27 for holders of the stock prior to the ex dividend date..I think that was March 29th, thus you had to purchase it 3 business days before to be the holder of record.
