of the day do the dividends normally post? I entered a position right after the last dividend, far too early, and for a moment this morning, was back even at $17. Most dividends post early in the day, anyone have any experience with NLY who can say what time to look for the dividend posting to your account?
Depends on what brokerage firm holds the shares. Schwab posted late last night. Mellon shows the dividend under "pending" but not yet in account. Also, it is uncertain if Mellon is going to pay the divy in a check or reinvestment. Annaly's web site still shows the DRIP as being inactive, so if your shares are in Mellon, you might get a check in several days. If another firm holds your shares, you will just have to check your account to see when it posts.
Interesting, my cash balance remained the same but now I see in transaction history both dividends being posted. Apparently, the money is there on the payment date but the transaction does not show up in history until the next day (today, Friday).
