now i have to hold the stock a year at least to recoup losses!
Like i posted before, this stock has only been under $14 for 18 months since 2002. whats the reasoning now? The fed? shouldnt be any different than when rates were higher during that time from 2002.
I dont get it. Really! rates were much higher and so was NLY's price during those years.
I bought some at $14.25. It looks like I pulled the trigger to quick. I have been collecting a dividend on my existing position for many years. NLY survived the 2008 financial crisis while many other REIT imploded so it makes sense that it will get through this OK. If they talk more about tapering at the FED meeting next week it could go down some more. However, along with the continued low inflation and high unemployment this market correction might cause them to shy away from talk about tapering.
This should be at or near the bottom. 12.88 was the bottom in the 08-09 crash when the economy was really trashed and this is a blip in the radar. The pps should recover slowly but steadily. I remember the good ole days when the reits were relatively level on the wild market swings. Who knows?
08-09 crash, and the markets are no where near crashing. with a 7 trailing p/e, when or if the markets do crash, whats the p/e of NLY then? 3? If the insiders are buying then why is it tanking?
Strange! We will know within 10 days when NLY announces what the dividend will be for the qtr.
