Why the sudden drop?
Downgrade by an analyst from buy to hold maybe the reason.
By the way Berkshire has not been buying. The big recent buys are by related pension plans.
Buffet himself does not know much about DVA. The purchases were initiated by his in house hedge fund types.
In Mondays cnbc interview he said he thought there was a 13% stake so he is either hiding his knowledge or he is not on top of the true %.
At any rate we know someone inside berkshire likes dva well enough to commit millions on behalf of related entities. They will be happy since this price action gives them a lower entry price.
Here is what I believe I heard Warren say on CNBC.
BOTH new guys bought some DVA. And also a retirement account would have put them over the top and they would have had to fiel for something (I think a 10% owner).
I've owned BRKB's for years but have been lightening up.
I started purchasing DVA through my DD of NXTM and Berkshire buying it up has to be good.
Maybe they are shorting ?
