    Where is the New poster?

PGNX stated in their press release that the poster with the phase I data would be available in the events section of their web site for 30 days. I checked several times and it isn't there yet. Can anyone find it?

    • It is the first item under the Events tab

    • I don't know about the poster but I wanted to ask you something else. The FDA is worried about the effect of Relistor on the patients heart. Does heart tissue have any MU receptors ? I believe that in cases of death due to opioid overdoses the heart stops beating. Do you think there is any connection?

      • truffles, I thought the FDA was worried about what would happen to the heart in long-term opiate users when Relistor blocked the opiates binding. That would mean there are indeed Mu-opiod receptors. Given that they are present in the smooth muscles of the digestive tract, I wouldn't be surprised that they would be found in cardiac muscle. What bothers me is that if the FDA is so worried about the effects of Relistor blocking opiate receptors of long-time opiate users, then they should ban the use of opiates long-term as one would get the same effect upon stopping opiates. If not, then have people stop using opiates for a week under doctor supervision to monitor the heart, then if all looks well then patients can resume taking opiate but adding in Relistor.
