Roche Holdings...what this means to us Organover's
Ok....Good morning Onganover's who are long. We should have an exciting day with the announcement from Hoffman-La Roche.
Here is what I think will be a HUGE plus that perhaps some of you aren't yet aware of. They are a European based company (headquarters in Switzerland). When licensing and distribution begins, Roche will be the company to do this for us. This opens up another HUGE market as Europe (combined population) is roughly that of the U.S.
When I was at the annual meeting, Organovo's strategy is to get "international patents" thus eliminating the need to acquire regional/global patents. So now with the affiliation with Roche, we now have a European arm to the companies future plans.
Sometime in the future, the same thing will need to occur in Asia where the rules are totally different. But Japan, Korea, China and India will be another market to set up as a future distribution system.
In other words, HUGE may end up being an UNDERSTATEMENT. Lastly, Roche trades as an ADR under the symbol RHHBY.
Phil... Good points all,,,,, I would add that in the big picture in less than 3 months ONVO has been uplisted , attracted patners the caliber of Roche ,,, added quality people to the board such as the woman from Amgen ,,, I would say they are at least on schedule to build a quality global presence and attract several quality investors ...If they follow thru in the next year with the same velocity, we will all look back and wonder why we were worried about day to day movements ,,,People that have invested in smaller biotechs over the years like this know the potential...All long termers will be rewarded next year ... and bashers will just go away or say ""hey I was on that one when it was 5 dollars a share""
