    By Yoon Ja-young

KEPCO and Japan’s Softbank are discussing jointly setting up an electrical grid linking Asian countries. The project would help the country cope with energy shortages on top of advancing into overseas markets.

According to KEPCO, its President and CEO Kim Joong-kyum met with Softbank President Masayoshi Son during this three-day visit to Japan starting Tuesday.

Included in the agenda was the “Asia Super Grid,” which links power grids of East Asian countries.

“The project aims at linking electrical grids of Asian countries. European countries are

    Softbank President Masayoshi Son
linked, and so are the United States, Canada and Mexico,” explained a KEPCO spokesman.
