issued by HCN on May 12th with the SEC. This DOW Jones news item was found on Charles Schwab network. Have not seen a confirmation on Yahoo, by other posters, or at the HCN home page. No amount of money was listed in the registration with the SEC which would indicate an impending acquisition. HCN plans to sell more common stock, preferred stock, warrants and other means of raising cash for general purposes including acquisitions and investment in other properties as stated in the filing. No underwriter was named. It has only been about a month since the last common stock dilution. I own both the common and preferred stock of HCN and see both going lower. Might have to add more shares to keep up the average. Any comments from the board?
Execs see interest rates going up and stocks going down and want to sell more stock before their's goes down. Some don't have a use currently in mind, just want to get the money while it's relatively cheap. They don't worry about dilution for stockholders.
I added a few hundred shares today. Am a little surprised on how low HCN has fallen. I add periodically when the price gets in the high 32's or low 33's. It has always bounced back from these levels. Think the FED is done tightening and the economy is slowing. Commodity prices seem to be falling sharply.
