Also, I while I like HCN, it makes up less than 3% of my portfolio. I've had stocks that I like more than HCN blow up on me, so I suggest investors keep diversified. By the way, Fitch rating of senior debt has HCP at BBB+, HR at BBB, and HCN at BBB-.
klee12 points out that HCN makes up less than 3%of his portfolio, and yet maintains a reasonably high level of interest in the company and its future. I definatly appluad this approach to investing. I too have something less than 3% in this company and try to stay active in monitoring it. The wisdom in diversification should be apparant to all. I have had and at present have a a few that "underperform", so to speak.(WCOM). I believe that the most I have in any one stock (not counting mutual funds) is in the 3% range. Good investing to all.
