yes, good dialogue.
Because of the recent mergers, this sector has received a lot of attention. Once earnings are out for SSYS the attention will dissapate and the stocks will begin to retreat. DDD is already in heavy declins.
i didn't listen to their call, so, i can't comment on that.
my understanding is that at the moment, DDD clearly has the most ready-for-consumer adoption 3D system available in Cubify. of course a 5x5x5 printable area is somewhat limiting, but it's a good start. if RELATIVELY SHORT-TERM (bold because time frame is important) consumer adoption was my rationale behind plunking down some money on this industry, DDD is what i would have bought, no question.
At the moment, however, consumer utility is a bit of a question mark in my mind, particularly at that size and with single materials fabrication only. women don't want to make their own shoes and more tiny plastic toys is not on the average parent's wish list.
Also at the moment, large industrial and defense companies are ALREADY using this technology, and the advantages are real. I made the decision to ride that short-to-medium-term trend for the moment. we'll see how the consumer space evolves, they'll be time to get in if it looks promising.
When u listened to the DDD call, did u sense that Honest Abe was a little uncomfortable when the analyst asked him abt the SSYS Objet merger?
As far as Howdie Dudie goes..I think he is not interested in becoming the head cheerleader of SYSS.
listen to the ddd conference call to hear how great ddd is doing? i suppose that's pretty objective due diligence.
these are the facts as i understand them. i placed my wager based on those facts and so far, it was the right call by a VERY WIDE MARGIN. unless you're here to do something besides make money.
I just went through the 26 slides. Nowhere did I see the words "significant Merger costs". Perhaps i missed it,can u please indicate once again but with a little more precision where u saw this.
As far as dilution... Much of hte data is given..I guess it is for us to evaluate the amt of dilution . R u a chartered accountant? if u r maybe u can enlighten me as to why and by how much u feel there will be dilution?
Look, there are three issues in this sector that make sense, but they're all overpriced. IMO you can purchase ADSK at <35, DDD at <25 and SSYS <35 without risking getting killed and still participate in the promise of this industry. Be patient. You'll get your chance. Plenty of time here.
