I don't. Deal is going to be dilutive for up to six quarters despite huge revenue growth at makerbot - this company should be able to turn a profit at these revenue levels. Stratasys hasn't even integrated Objet so why digesting another acquisition here ? Price tag seems high also.
This was the crown jewel of the private 3D companies. The price is $400 million in SSYS shares, plus up to $200 million in an earn-out. The market is going to love this transaction. Apparently shares are up $3 AH, and I expect this deal will drive the stock to new highs. Between them, SSYS and DDD will continue to scoop up all of the promising private 3D companies, making it inevitable that a much larger company one day comes knocking on their door, no matter how rich the price.
I just reread, rethink...you are right, they all look good. This is only the beginning of 3D potential. For Ex. HPQ has over $13B, they can pay $90 for DDD to be in this space.
Own them all on dips..
SSYS will catch up with the run in XONE those year...
